Anyone been in a GPAA event detecting "Treasure Hunt"?

Hey Everybody!
I'm attending the GPAA Vein Mountain group dig and tomorrow we have a "Treasure Hunt" for those with metal detectors. I was too busy with the trommel and highbankers to remember to ask for any details. Has anyone ever done one of these hunts? I'm guessing it will be a hunt for tokens to be traded in for prizes, but I honestly don't know. I f anyone can give me any information I would greatly appreciate it. THANKS! ;D

Your choice of detectors to hunt with is extremely important as some units will not operate within 10' or so of another and nuttn' worse than standing in the middle of a crowd and gettn' nuttn' but feedback-John

Thanks John. The noise cancel function on the Explorer seemed to do just fine. I came in 6th out of 28 hunters even with using up a bit of time by finding too many of last year's targets! I feel great about my detector's performance - now we just need to work on mine! :laughing7:
