My favorite was on a Mercedes in Greenwich, CT, the richest town in the US. I am sure the guy was an eye doctor, his plate had the MD prefix doctors get but the tag number was 2020, so it read MD2020. I guess he never drank the cheap and terrible Mogan David fortified wine that was called 20/20 back in the 60s and 70s that we called Mad Dog 2020 due to the MD over 20/20 on the label.

The MD was always sold out. Had to get Ripple!

I saw a former police cruiser in a nearby town, a Crown Vic, the guy had the custom plate that read "THEFUZZ"

I laughed my ass off.

They even had a TV game show on for a while involving figuring out what the license plates said.

I told my wife years ago that if I ever got personal tags, they would have "MY NAME" on them. That way I could tell everyone that my license plates had my name on them.

I saw one the other day on I-4 in Florida that said: "DAD BOD"...thought that was a pretty good one.

I used to get behind a nice Mercedes in Tampa all the time that said: "BEGGER1"....in an area with lots of intersection pan-handlers...always made me wonder...

Personally i think they're dumb. just another reason to throw your money away. The other day I saw a mustang with the vanity plate of MUSTANG. If you want everyone to know your business, just make a sticker, it's cheaper. Now, I'm not trying to put anyone down here, but you asked.

I agree! Why should I give the state any more money than I have to....:dontknow:
