Kalpinro found a 1970-S not too long ago, that's the only recent sighting I think. I haven't found one yet.

Hey Gang,

The 1970-D Kennedy was only issued in mint sets. I bought a roll of 40% Kennedy's off ebay a year or so ago and had one in it !

But keep looking as kids get into Dads coin collection and people fall on hard times and.....

Mintages 1970D= 2,150,000 1970S= 2,632,810

I found (5) '70d's last year. Want one? I'll trade for a '64, I have 2 available. HH Mark

been at it for about 7 months and still have not found a 70. i think since the mint did not produce a 70 for circulation i think they tried to make up for it in 1971. i have ran across TONS of them. about the only other dates i find more are the 1976 and the 1995

My drought ended in Feb. 2007 when I found my first (and to this date only) 70-D in a CWI box.

I found my only '70 d at Wallmart. (don't pile on me, I only went in to hunt their in-store bank). It was the only half in the place.

Mark,

I am trying to figure out a fair value of the 70-D's and 70-S's. How long after you posted that you had 2 available were they spoken for? It would be interesting to see what value CRH'ers put on the key coins and impaired proofs.

Found one about 2 years ago. It's the only one I've found. I've only been CRH about 3 years.
