I was wondering what the difference is between the mainland or continental USA and the state of Hawaii? Years ago I'd read it was about 10%, is this true today or have things changed? How about standard letter envelope with postage stamp (I'm sure it should be the same as the mainland)?

I don't want to ship anything that large, only 30" x 40" and not now anyway. I just filled out an application, to mail in a standard sixe letter envelope, I would think there is no difference from the mainland. I think some of the magazine subscriptions I'd had in the past, charged more money for Alaska and Hawaii. Plenty of time to find out on the other. Hawaii is a beautiful place, from some threads I've read in here it seems metal detecting is limited to beaches/water only.
