I found once awhile back with Indiana on it stamped in exactly the same spot, not sure why though...

They are worth between 1 and 2 cents, depending on if they are copper or not.

A lot of gas stations will run promos with coins like this to try to get people to buy certain stuff. "Buy a candy bar and receive one of the 50 state pennies exclusive to XYZ gas station. Limited time collectibles. Get them all!" They are stamped after coming from the mint, and are worth a penny.
