It's been pissing and raining a lot here so I have been reading the book that came with the detector, a lot to learn. Been over to a campground and have dug garbage and few pennys, did that two times now.

Question, After digging a few times I have run into what looks like salt? Is this salt deposits?

I'm hoping that the city of Forks gets back to me.

Im from up west of Sekiu. Every city has specific rules about detecting on their property. I would suggest to find old homesteads or private property to hunt, just ask the owner. Im down in AZ until mid March then back to WA. Ill hit you up when I get back. The white deposits are probably alkaline.
