I have an Ace 300 with a Crossfire 2 supreme deep coil. It is a hot coil but it just will not pin point. However a friend with the same setup has no problem. I took it to the beach today for the first time and the black sand made it useless! I never have that problem with my Compus 77B or my Whites 600D. or any other detector. Could the coil be bad?

No. He meant 300.

jimb:
The first Ace 300 I've seen was recently on eBay, so I'm thinking it was a precursor of the 250............or not.
Anyway, you probably should contact the tech people at Garrett's for all of your questions.

Kellyco sold them as the Predator 3 not all that long ago. I think it's waht the Chinese ripped off for one of their designs as well.
