Anyone Prospect areas West of Mosquito on the South Fork American River

I have permission to work a claim on the middle fork. Beeped befor, and found nothing but miners trash, but you never know. Very steep country, and anything near the drainages/rivers
is mostly all claimed

Thanks for the feedback diverrick! If there were miners there in the old days there may be something to find. Will be in Sacramento next month, thought I would start taking a look around now for a place to prospect and run a bazooka.

There used to be a few claims right downstream. North is a pretty good walk to bedrock its a hard area to set up a sluice. Easiest travel is high up on the north side.Be careful in any of the canyons they have been in the cold shade for a while all the rock is slick.

Nope :( Live about 40 minutes away but have only been to the town of Placerville and haven't worked any of their waterways yet.
