Does anyone recognize this military patch? I think it’s U.S. Navy medical Corps but cannot find a match. Has a red cross, an anchor, a syringe and a scalpel. image-2020-12-05-18:59:22-105.jpg

I don't know for sure because I've never seen one like it before. But look at that needle, all crooked and such! I don't want to bet stuck with that because it looks like it could hurt a lot going in and out! Good luck on ID'ing it, and thanks for posting.

Well I will tell you this Don...

Similar patches sell for $$$. - Over 400+.

It IS unique ... Naval ... and IMO "special" in more than one way.

Here is one ($450).

PS>..

I think yours is Nam.

PSS...

The fact that this is not common... or has not been able to be tracked down... is not uncommon in itself.

Many of these patches were "one offs" or very few... like 10-12 at best case scenario many times were made... HENCE the "value" to collectors.

The more unusual and more "going on" in the patch the better.

Yours has lots going on. :)

Hope I said something that helps.

Much appreciated I think you are right! Vietnam era most likely. The crooked needle was from a fold. I ironed it IMG_6342.jpg

Look for Navy Corpsman images. It may be a special patch for one unit only.

When I was in the navy (viet nam era) I believe in Hong Kong you could get one off patches made. We would be in port for three days. Order on day one and pick up on day three. We could also get very fancy embroidering on the inside of our dress blues uniform or custom embroidered jackets.
