Last time I sold on CL I insisted on in a bank, at the table where you fill out deposit slips. I took the payment straight to a teller for deposit.

I have sold on eBay also but the fees hurt. It is going to sell within a one day auction if it is started near spot. Then you have to deal with buyers and shipping. Get insurance too.

I prefer Provident and Ampex. Only downfall is the $1000 minimums. Guaranteed prices, safe transactions, even paying over spot for 90% junk. I call both and whoever pays more, that's who has my business. I can even take payment in half gold and half check payout.

"sonny, you wrote the wrong account number on the deposit slip. Is that a 1 or 7, or is that a 5 or 6. OH Nevermind. "While your busy filling out the deposit slip, he made his move and vanished into thin air. I say pick a bank without a deposit slip location for this sort of thing.

You give me the money and I deposit when you leave.

My point is someone can use that area to check out coins and cash.

What does this have to do with Coin Roll Hunting?

Maybe this thread would fit better in the Silver sub-forum or the Precious Metal Prices sub-forum or the Coins sub-forum:

How does one become a "mod"? This might be something worth pursing, for me.

There are no openings or application process, any new mod must first be approved by 100% of moderators.

Just like you can't nominate yourself for banner, can't nominate yourself for mod either.....

For coin roll hunters who sell this could be important

Made some calls just now. Provident paying 4% more for 90%, and 7% more for war nickels. Didnt bother to ask about 40%....

Coin Roll Hunting does Not need to be 100% about Coin Rolls !!!!!

Ok. There seems to be a disagreement between the mods on what this sub-forum should be used for...

A description (located under the title "Coin Roll Hunting") says: "A great way to find old coins is to purchase rolls of coins from banks. Misstrikes, silver, proof, even rare coins can be found. Post your "Roll Hunting" experiences and questions here!"

the words "on Topic" / "off Topic" can mean different things to Different people.

This place is supposed to be Fun.

Nothing needs to be policed so fine,
that members can't discuss things with their Coin roll hunting member friends,
without running all over TreasureNet to have those discussions.
