Apple Stand Finds

Hit the Old Apple Stand again this evening. Started listening for low tones this time due to not finding much silver here after several hunts. Here are my nickels, 2 Indians and 1 1943 Steel Penny (my first).

Awesome finds. I've always wanted to locate an old fruit/vegetable farmstand type of site to hunt. Plenty of nice old coins at yours! I'm amazed at how that steel cent held up. I rarely hear of those being found.

How does a steel cent come out of the ground like that I gotta ask.

Thanks,I come to believe it was coated with a wax used to coat the apples.

Went back tonight for a very quick hunt (very cold winds). Did manage to get one 1905 Indian Head penny in the 25 minutes.
