Well Galveston was a 99% bust. I did cull $3.45 in clad. Had fun. Love the new scoop. It was great digging--even tho no gold or silver keepers. Next round in November at the beach. In the mean time, I will keep hitting the tot-lots (where I did find my first gold ring). :icon_sunny:

Thanks to all that keep me inspired.

apush (the not got the gold gal at the beach yet). :read2:

Well we all know we don't find gold or silver every time we hit the beach. But that is why we love this hobby so much. Because we don't know what we will find next. But your clad count was good. So good luck on your next trip to the beach......Matt

If Galveston is anything like Surfside then there is just too much sand. Wait till the hard north winds start blowing and tearing up the sand, that's when the older stuff comes out. There is so much sand in Surfside that if not careful you will get stuck......Good luck. John
