Archaeologists Unearth 1,000-Year-Old 'Hammer of Thor'

According to Norse mythology, Thor's hammer helped prevent giants from destroying Asgard, the celestial home of the gods, writes The Daily Mail.

Since the time of the Vikings, thousands of tiny intricate amulets, similar to Thor's legendary hammer, have been found all over the Viking world since the first millennium CE.

that's cool, but it doesn't look much like a hammer.???

Norse were excellent artists and metal workers.

They were extremely clever, and their art was typically stylized into the form you see.
