My father, my friend, and I went out to the ocean last night after dark :icon_pale: during high tide and hit the water’s edge as it receded. After about an hour my friend pulls a target out of about two foot of water and made a beeline over to me :walk: with a crazy look on his face. He has made some jokes before about “getting his gold grill today” but today was the day :icon_thumright: ….

The funny part was when he found the target he dumped the first scoop full because he heard a good signal back in the hole. But for good measure he ran his coil back over the pile and found a good signal in the pile :icon_thumleft: ! The 12.2 gram gold teeth was in the pile and as I said before he raced over to show me without digging the second good signal :nono: . Well needless to say, he was not able to locate that second target back down in the water but has earned himself some street cred regardless :headbang:

So have any of you ever found gold teeth? Was it gold plated or solid :dontknow: ?

The gold teeth are called a "Grill" and are solid gold, normally from 10-14k but I did see an 18k with a diamond posted last summer. nice find. Tell your buddy to quit making rookie mistakes and stay with his targets. ;D
