I would say miners tend to be self sufficient so I guess many could be labeled preppers....I would take pride in the association myself.....beats being a helpless lemming! :laughing7:

I see mining as part of my prepper strategy. Anyone else?

It could be a good possiblity, depending on what your mines resources are and if there is another entrance(good hiding spot for a cache of food and or materials).Needs more than one entrance though. The raw material, copper, sliver, gold, lead, etc would be nice to have in certain situations.Copper can make arrow heads, lead can make bullets.Lots of possibilities.

All the prospectors/miners I personally know (about 20) are into a self-sufficient type mode at most
times in their daily going ons, weather while working or playing. Three on them are really into
prepping, & one is so far out there (losing his mind,I think) he has already permanitly (spelling ?)
bugged out to the mountains; & pans for a living.

I was a prepper before I was a miner, taking on mining as part if my prepping strategy.

Lol! Haven't been here in so long, I didn't realize I had already posted, saying nearly the identical statement. How funny.
