There are some other, more specialized, sites for Civil War, transportation, etc. tokens. Depending on what information you want to discover in your research, you may get to do some of the work yourself. Say, for instance, you have a token that was issued by Joe Blow in Nashville, TN, and you want to know when ol' Joe lived and was in business, and what type of business he was in, you can search for local Nashville histories, directories, newspapers, etc. You will want to check the TN token book first, though, to see if that information is there. If you just have a token that was issued by Joe Blow, but it doesn't say where he was located, you have what is called a "maverick". These require a lot more searching, because there were people named Joe Blow all over the nation. With mavericks, it is generally more productive to start your search close to where it was found and go out from there. Looking for him first in Seattle doesn't make sense.
