Here is a piece of wood I found the one side is really smooth like it was polished this was found in the same area I found a arrowhead

I’d be surprised if a Wood artifact could have survived there through a couple centuries for a number of reasons.

Looks like it’s just a piece of common trim or other wood from a house ... I wouldn’t call it an artifact the raised part is probably where it almost snapped than the wet layers swelled

I concur. Not found in a dry cave, wood would not last very long unless its cedar or cypress. I have never found any wood native american relics in 50 years of relic hunting.
