Always keep an eye on your bank. If you do a lot of deposits and withdrawals, at least once a month go online and check to see if your balance matches theirs. Most banks that I deal with will fix discrepancies if it is their fault but only within a set amount of time.
The beginning of last week I made a $50 deposit (one bag of cents) I got a receipt and filed it away. Yesterday I tried to get ATM money and the computer said not enough funds. I went online and that deposit was never entered.
I went home last night and pulled out my receipt and noticed the teller transposed the last 4 digits of my account number (that is all that shows) Somebody else got my money. I can't go back in till Friday but I know they will fix it.
