I am thinking about picking up a new metal detector and have been looking pretty good at the AT Pro and AT Gold.
I live in the desert so the water proof does not mean a whole lot (until the monsoon season kicks in).
I will use it for coins, relics, and hunting for gold. What say you all?

Thanks,

Hi azprospector, there are about 7,462 threads on here asking the same thing. You will get no less than 20 different opinions if you stick with it so I will give you mine. Buy the best detector that fits your budget and detecting style that you can afford and enjoy the hobby!

Yea that's kind of what I thought.

Ford, Chevy, GMC, Dodge, Toyota?????

Matter of preference...

I am just trying fo choose between Gold and Pro. Both are good machines.

Thanks :icon_thumleft:

If you want sub gram gold, the AT Gold is the better choice. It will pick up much smaller gold than the AT Pro. Works great for relics, and has a true all metal mode.

Give me a call if I can answer any questions.

I would suggest the AT Gold, as it was engineered with gold hunting in mind. It has a true all metal mode which you find advantageous, plus an adjustable threshold for those very weak signals.
