Headed out yesterday and today to some schools. I found a hot spot just loaded with one and two dollar coin which really bumped up my totals. The 6.5" x 9" is my favorite coin hunting search coil. It is sensitive to tiny objects, gives more accurate ID compared to DD coils and usually ID's bottle caps as junk, unlike DD coils which tend to ID bottle caps as coins.
Here are some other surprises which I found.
My buddy joined me today with his AT Pro. He prefers the 5" x 8" DD coil. He was on a mission to get a silver coin. After getting a soft high tone of about a 78 VDI, he pulled out a sweet silver dime. He got his wish! He also got a cool silver ring.
Wednesday, after work, I high banked a new spot, which I knew had a lot of gold in the gravel from previous testing with my gold pan. I was rewarded with a nice batch for 1 1/2 hours of digging.
Back to work tomorrow....
