"Aussie Dunny pit" [privy] 1890-1920 Ground harzard too

Hi all,Thought i try my luck at Dunny digging today, easy to find privy pits as most houses over 75 years old around here , had or still have a backyard toliet. well dug down to about 3 foot and found a few pieces of glass, a button and a pin with most of the stones missing. When i went to retrieve the pin a peice of sharp stabbed me under the nail. :-X :-X :-X The rules of TN donot allow to me repeat what was said at that moment. SO Guess ;D ;D ;D. A thunderstroom blew in late this afternoon so i went home.

Nice finds and thanks for setting the example, I wear gloves for the most part. Hope your tetanus shot is updated. I hope to dig a privy some day. HH, Mike
