Quick Draw Pro - First hunt

Went out this morning for a quick hunt and found lots of trash. Was wondering why aluminum registers as a high tone so often. Usually cans. I slowed down and noticed a change. The height tone would come first but when I slowed down to further identify it the tone would usually change to a lower one.

Started to play with the sensitivity as well. I came across a real good high tone that was pretty deep under a root but ended up leaving it. I need a better digging tool.

Cans do that. You can lift the coil up a foot above and if it still rings up then it is probably a can. I usually set the sensitivity in relation to how deep I can dig. If I am detecting a gravel driveway I will set the sensitivity down to about 2, nice yards around 7-8 and open fields are at 9-10. Your QDP is a good detector, the Target ID is pretty good. Have you air tested coins and such with it yet?
