Man, I have been having crazy detecting withdrawals for the past week and a half. My wife has been away on business and I have been playing the role of Mr. Mom with zero time to detect. Last night I broke down and took the kids to a site I have started to meticulously grid. I have pulled 14 silver coins here cherry picking and have just started to dig all non-ferrous. After hitting a 1919 wheat, and the usual tabs/caps, I got a strong silver quarter signal on the Nox, 31/32. I gathered the boys and told them that I probably had silver, flipped the plug and bam, this gorgeous sterling ring was sitting perfectly oriented in the plug. We all let out a "WHOOOOAAAAAAA!" That's the best shared feeling, isn't it? It's an old WW2 era US Navy ring. I love finding silver coins, but I'll take some silver culture over a coin any day. Even better, the wife's back home so it is time to go pound some ground. HH!

That thing is a looker. Great finds man! Just starting to drum up some new permissions for myself. Hoping to get back on the silver train too.

Good luck this weekend!

That ring is beautiful, and such a sentimental piece to the previous owner. They really knew how to make things back in those days, didn't they? Congrats on becoming the new owner of such a cool treasure!!
