Well I started 2024 off making the mile and a half walk back to the river spot I like going to. A little history about the spot, this spot was a hot spot in the early 1900’s for people having picnics and using the river as a place to swim. The property has been in the same family since the late 1800’s, and the land owner in the early 1900’s would charge people a small fee to use his land for these activities.

The weather was good, cloudy with temps around 39° could be worse for Michigan 😆.

Would of awesome to find the milk bottle whole.

IMG_4490.jpeg

I ended up getting 11 wheats, dates 1917-1936
IMG_4455.jpeg

I found a tie clip, a ring from the period a small fancy buckle and some other bits and bobs

Great hunt. Congrats on the silver. 👍
Silver coins have been eluding me.
I used to buy my beer in Michigan back in the 70’s. Drinking age was 18, and Indiana was 21. Fortunately the state line was on 20 minutes away. 👍🍺
Cheers,
MM
