Just got back to NY from Florida a few hours ago...i'm still getting used to the 50 degree windy weather here compared to the mid 80's each day...
I was staying in a private community, and hunted the beaches for about 3-4 hours total. Some people said that they had seen somone else using a detector out there sometimes, but based on what i found, he must not have gone out much.
I ended up getting a little over 10 dollars in clad, and a mickey mouse pin. The highlight of the trip was finding this nice woman's watch the first day out. Although it isn't worth a ton (retails for 270), i was still pleased with my first real "jewelry find."
I have to say that Florida is a beautiful place and I was very sad to leave. You guys living down there sure have it made!
