Walked to the back of my property again for another dig, Me and my friend found some cool discoveries too... But ill get to that I'm a minute, first off I talked to the local antique Guru and was able to get a picture of the house as it once stood about 117 years ago, as well as the family who lived there and whose possessions we are finding today....

Our finds uncleaned, soaking in they're hot tub... :-)

All scrubbed, cleaned and ready for IDing... almost found the complete pair of reeds, A bolt used for holding a plow blade to the beam, a small chisel or wedge found in the remains of the chimney, what was left of a kitchen knife and a couple UBOs...

Some of many random glass fragments..

Forged square nails, still have they're blue gun metal patina' along with some early round wire nails..

Partial face plate to a light duty, spring operated hanging scale...

View attachment 711065
Brass Bolster Liner, same style as the early 20th century Remington pocket knives... Strange thing is the pieces were 10 ft away from each other, pieces of the harmonica's reeds in the same two places as the liner... I'm guessing the house was demolished...

Found this broken cast iron plate looking thing, but it wasn't until later we found out that it was a bottom piece of a three piece antique waffle iron set...

When we first found the iron my friend thought that it may have been a cache compact our antique mirror case, he showed me it and said look it opens, the first thing I said was "Woww it's a waffle iron!"
So when we got around to opening it and saw how unique the inside was, we started search for the ID and found out it's a rare type called: "ORR PAINTER & Co. Heart, Club, Diamond Waffle Iron" Made in Reading Pa. in 1890!!! and it's possible that the one we found could be even more rare because we only found two online and they were both 4 section irons and we found a 3 section one... had a great time... :-) and if anyone else knows any more information about it I would love to hear a reply...

The pictures of the clean waffle iron are ones I got online to show you how they once looked....

Nice waffle iron! I like how you included a photo of what the house that once stood there looks like.
