Just didn't like the two piece design and no padding that allows dirt to scratch control face.
Also, Little OCD doesn't help!

Yes I do!
That was my original plan; just glue some thin soft foam on insides of both halves. Well, I couldn't find suitable foam at the time. I've got some now and will do that.
The strap helps keep pieces together and also aids in pulling out of the pack pockets.
