I started out wanting to go somewhere else being I was just over there again
Friday . so I headed to a different town.

Wanted to hunt an 1891 School, as usual Nobody around.
it is used by the Boro as a Boro hall, but the place is always
locked up tight.

1891.jpg

so I went up to the 1780 Church on the Hill.

1780stjohnsevan.jpg
as I drove By the window & looked a man inside Gave me a big wave, So
I figured "Friendly Works" :laughing7: so I parked & found my way in.
There was apparently a Quilting bee going on in there, and I asked him
the million dollar Question. He said he had to bring it up at the Meeting this weekend
and took my card, said he'll let me know next week

so I went over to the 1875 School

I got there the same time the New neighbors showed up this time :hello2:
so I headed over there first, & introduced Myself and Asked if they would Mind me hunting their yard for a Bit. and they said Yes, so I went over there for about a Half Hour.
Not very Productive, Few Memorials and signs someone owned a dog at one time,
So I showed them My finds, thanked them & headed back to the school Yard.

My gas Rebate for the day a Very poor 6 Cents

the owner of the School showed up today, so I got to meet him also.he asked me if I found his Socket
:laughing7:

DSCF0013.JPG

I only wish I had it with today.

He then told me he could probably get me on the other property
it is his Sister who bought it, So I can just leave the socket there next time over.

I then thought about asking if anyone lost keys

2ert.JPG

Yep :laughing7: His sisters

Luckily I was carrying them with, because it was obvious they were a recent drop.

So today was my day for returns as well as Finds :headbang:

at least 7 days of rain predicted now So may be done for awhile :sadsmiley:

haha great post :) well illustrated! good call hanging onto those keys... definitely bought some good will and that may have been the key to opening a new site. Pardon the weak pun! nice hunt!

You have some great looking old spots up your way Jeff. Congrats on the recoveries. Hopefully those leads will turn out good for you.
Maybe the guy that owned that Shaguar dropped the Merry Widow tin? :laughing7:
I'm still trying to dig my first Merry Widow container. I don't think they used any protection down here back then. :tongue3:

Thanks MM  I know good or bad, I never felt I wanted protection from Women :tongue3:
I wonder if they belonged to a teacher or student :tongue3:

I'm trying hard to find new sites around here these days,
for the most part I've been hitting spots I figured would never give permission.
Can't hurt to ask.. right ?

I even stopped in the town at the Post office.
it was closed but the Lobby was open, So I put some of my cards on the
bulletin board hoping someone will call

Good post, GREAT pictures.

Makes me wonder why those esp. who want an ID can't crop first ?

Tiara ? well it's got to be something...tiara might be a first ever ? would be nice if you could nail that down.

Thanks Rick

Yes "Cropping is your Friend" :laughing7:

I figure 2 Homecoming queen's got into a knock down drag out fight
over who should have won & this was the result :occasion14:

after doing some work on it, I'm thinking if it is not a tiara, perhaps
one of those thingies young girls used to wear on their heads
shaped sort of like a headphone band without the speakers ? to hold their hair back,
or look cute a 6 years old for their first day of school :tongue3:

test.jpg

DSCF0002.JPG

I'm guessing it's gold toned aluminum though.
I think most of them were pink plastic or cloth over a wire tho ?

If I can find the rest, it could possibly be an easier I.D.

& Thanks all for Looking
