BACK TO THE 1790'S HOME

decided to go back up to the colonial home today.spent 4 hours there. as you can see the junk to good stuff ratio is crazy! i dug my butt off today
11 wheaties,a 1941 silver washington,a pewter buckle and thought i had a large copper for sure.turns out to be a local peter & paul cadbury company goodluck token.peter & paul made alot of candy bars when plant was open in naugatuck,ct.the company has since shut down it's plant and moved to who knows where.probably overseas like most other us companies
anyways i fried up those morels i found yesterday with egg and flour fried in butter.boy were they good! if you see no further threads posted by me..you know what happened :laughing7:

Nice hunt! :headbang: I like the buckle especially and I'm very curious about these mushrooms I keep hearing about. A friend of mine told me he prefers them to any store bought type but picking wild mushrooms makes me a bit nervous having never done it before.

I understand concern some have, although your mushrooms were definitely the good morels. Since you weren't sure it is good to find out. We have been around them our whole lives here in Michigan so we know what to look for. So how did you like them?

The local stores sell them for as much as $39 per pound here. I could have made some good money on them this year but enjoy just giving them to those who can't find them. Of course, I eat my fair share of them too :icon_thumleft:.
