Well the corn field I tried the other day was hurting my arm. So went back to the dump field, its still roughly ploughed & difficult to walk. Waiting for it to get graded & then hit it again.

After awhile I had a Roman Bronze Military Stud (centre of picture 2).

Got bored with the dump field & went to another field that I've done but they have mowed the weeds down.

Good choice as I got a Very Rare 14-15th Century Tudor Button. Only ever found one other broken one in over 20 years :)

Also a 1620 broken Royal Farthing & bits....

Looking forward to tomorrow but my body is giving up!!!

Nice haul.Is that a coin the second row first one ?Almost looks like old copper.

The 1620s is in the buckle. The other is a Geo copper.

As usual some real superb relics and the Royal Farthing is great even if in bits.
I like the Tudor button, very decorative.

Keep up the Great diggin'...

UK detectorists are better than US detectorists. I have never seen one of us dudes find a thousand year old coin. :'(

Not better only luckier to live here. Anyone of you could find this stuff with permission. Now that's the skill, gaining permission.

Nice historical finds Crusader! UK treasure laws are the best I know of except, the lands that have no detecting laws, there are a few out there. HH, Mike

How many signals do you usually dig in an hour? I bet close to a hundred!

Depends on the field but 80 / hour is about average.

Just spotted on the photo of the lock cover 'WR'. Which makes it William IV and 1830s. I thought it was 1930s. ::)

Just spotted the yellow flower shaped badge bottom right.
This is a badge for the "primrose league"
A league that was originally founded in 1883 and became inactive in the mid 1990,s
A conservative principals supporters badge..the league was finally wound up in 2004.
Hope this helps Paul...aka Dragonsbreath.

Thanks welcome to Tnet. Yes it helps as I thought it was Patrol Leader for the Girl Guides, or at least that what my Mum remembers.

Where are you UK, US, somewhere else?
