We went back to the old homestead site today--the weather was BEAUTIFUL! In the 60's and windy. Here's some of the stuff we found--1917 BUFFALO nickel, 1915 and 1919 wheat penny's, front of a button(?) that says "CUR WHEELER"(anyone know what that means?), 3 old buckles, a heart/flag pin, back of a pocket watch, long shiny metal thing that says "HOUSEHOLD" (don't know what this is either!), porcelain doll arm, ice skate blade, harmonica reeds, shotgun and rifle casings--what do the letters U.M.C. on shotgun shells stand for?, round shiny metal thing with raised design and lots of iron stuff! Here's some pictures--hope you enjoy! sandcreek4

Hey Sand Creek, I found an identical "OUR WHEELER'' in the Texas
Panhandle. Believe it is part of an overalls button. The back is just
like mine. lastleg
I love finding stuff with writting on it and everyone on here is so helpful and informative! sandcreek4

I think the round shiney thing is the top to a hitching rail. Tie your horse to it. Monty
