I've checked every square inch of my property at least half a dozen times, but I guess there's still a few coins hiding from me. I found a 1920 D Merc today! It was right next to a large rock in my backyard. Five inches down with a lousy signal. Just a single ping every time I scanned over the spot. It pays to dig all signals, I guess.

This is only the second silver coin I've ever found in my yard. The other was 1903 Barber dime, which I found in April 2013. Here's a couple of photos of the Merc:

Thanks guys! I was starting to feel stupid metal detecting my yard over and over, but I guess it worked! I also found a 1917 D wheatie last week, so the old ones are still there.

The house was built in 1930, so there must have been more than two silver coins dropped over the last 84 years. I'll keep looking. They must be here somewhere...
