I have been over my yard a hundred times...blah, blah, blah...It's about two acres all mowed and pretty. I have three MD's and the newest one is the Garrett Ace 350. I'm telling you, this thing can find some coins. My sons bounty hunter IV has found many wheat pennies and some other cool things in the yard. The "other" detector has found silver quarters and some jewelry in the yard also. (I say "other" because the barska windbest elite MD might get me hung on this forum. PS: its a nice MD.) The Ace is pulling them up deep and clear, usually no guessing to if its a coin or not. I was on the side of the house that has a lot of trash around, nails, can slaw, etc. I get a nickel signal and pinpoint it. I dig the plug and see silver in the hole (1944D mercury dime) its right below a 1941 nickel. About three feet over I pulled the undated buffalo nickel out at about 4" the MD said nickel at 4" and the 1945 wheatie about 5 feet from the nickel the MD said 6" but it was only about 3". I also found a chain that looks like a bracelet, but its iron and toasted, I have been through this area several times and pulled nail after nail, maybe I'm just finally getting all the junk cleared away and finding the good stuff. The tone takes a little getting used to after being used to the other two MD's for so long but so far I really like the Ace 350. The other day after a hard rain I pulled a 1965 dime at 9", it read it clear as a bell. We've found probably around 30 wheat pennies, 6 silver coins, tootsie toys, matchbox cars, buttons, a gold plated money clip (my heart almost stopped on that one.), a silver drum charm a silver bangle bracelet, a 1934, 1969, 1981 dog license, a few other odds and ends cool finds, a ton of trash and probably around $5.00 in clad. Having a blast and dig most of the good sounds, actually most of the not so good sounds too, just to see what's there. I know absolutely nothing about old coins and really enjoy the coins the guys find on this site. We get just as much of a thrill looking things up on the web after we find them, trying to figure out what they are.
