Went to an old (built in like 1920's) closed down HS for about an hour or two. I had heard it had been picked over pretty good but I went anyway, because rain had me kind of limited to where I could get to. The bad news I didn't find anything very interesting (some clad, trash, pieces and parts, a file, 4 pulltabs, part of a kitchen knife,etc.). The good news is I dug a ton in an hour or two for a place that has supposedly been picked over...maybe find some good stuff when I have some more time.

If you dug all that out, then your right a lot of stuff has been over looked. Just a matter of time until you pull a silver coin. Good luck.
