My wife is sunbathing with our daughter in sunny florida this easter. I am here in cold maine, puppysitting our baby papillon pup all alone. I could not be happier!! Got 2 do just what I want! Today that was listening to my xmas tesoro sing easter music 2 me!! I have been working The weed house site across the steet and having pretty good luck for a greenhorn. Today I decided I needed a change of scenery so I went to a local bball park with a big long south facing bank. It was still a little frozen, an inch or so at 10:00 this morning. 22 degrees last night. But I could get through it. Was considering this practice and was picking up a fair amount of clad. when I got a good deep signal. Got my first washinton quarter 1941, 8 inches down. Got another signal same hole my first war nickel 1945 ! I was pumped ! Still a signal in hole 1950 wheat, I could not believe I had found a spill there that the other M.Ders had missed ! Now I was really fine tooth combing this area! 6 feet away got another good signal, 6 inches down was the toy sword. A foot away from that had a good faint signal. dug at least 10 inches down, out poped a toy coin or so I thought right next to the toy sword ! Then I wondered what did they make toy coins out of so that they come out of the ground all nice an shiney! I thought maybe it was a small silver token scince it did not have a face profile on it. After 3 hours I had 2 go home and tend puppy and clean up finds! Looked at toy coin under mag glass , UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1853 I could not believe my luck! On back thirteen stars around edge with roman letter III surrounded by a cresent. I had found An 1853 silver 3 cent piece. HAPPY EASTER TO ME !! also $ 2.43 in clad
