Found these in a field today .The scratch is my bad i
Put them both in same pocket wich was ok till i drove home
Any date range on button would be nice back is to crusty to read

Can't help with the button, but if the Barber is an S it is worth a chunk of change. Nice finds!

I think so too... general officer and staff officer button. Thats where I would start looking.

I have looked online but still no ID. The closest was a officers staff button.
Most eagles face left . This one faces right has thirteen stars, wings down with fat claws
with nothing in them. The background is ribbed or lined Thanks Mike

Yep.....Doesn't matter where it was found. My uncle found a Spanish Officers sword or dagger, complete belt buckle, (circa 1800), in Ma. this summer. Previously, these were only known to Florida and Texas. His is the ONLY known, complete example. I have a Sommers Island 6 Pence, large porthole variety, found in Berkshire County. One of only 4 such pieces found on the North American continent. The other 3 were found by one guy, on a beach, in Maine. These are known as "Hogge" money, from Bermuda, from 1616. How it got here is unknown. ......So don't dismiss what it truly is by where you found it. Congratulations. Hogge
