Had a nice time before work today. 1st target was a 1904 Barber Dime in an area i've probably swung over dozens of times.

Not too long after than I got a penny signal at about 3-4"...turned out to be a .925 whatsit. Looks kinda like a mini shoe horn. Further research indicates that it was made in Taxco, Mexico post 1979 by Antonio Castillo.

It slowed down for a while after that but right at the end of the hunt I got some more keepers. 1901 V-Nickel, what appears to be a gold-plated hair pin of some sort, a silver-washed cufflink, and a dog tag.

Happy Hunting All!

Your silver from Mexico looks like shoehorn, but I think it is an earring, considering it has an earring wire hanging off of it.

Pretty sure your "dog tag" is a pickers check token. Ive found a lot down here in farm country. They almost always contain the farm owners initials and usually a number. I guess Newark NJ once had farmland. Lol

If that's the case I'd be really stoked
