Welcome to Tnet! I believe that company is out of business, so IMO, I'd pass on it. Get a name brand if it's your first detector and try to buy it from a local dealer if possible so you have get some hands-on training. If you don't have anyone local, try our sponsors on this website.

Ok, i heard such great things about it on youtube but i needed to hear from someone elses opinion too.

Are there other detectors like it out there that are any good?

Its going to be my first one, and i just want to be able to check the beach, and stuff like that.

http://metaldetectorreviews.net/ is a good site to hit for some idea of what's out there.. specs, average price and reviews.
