Warning, the following thread contains photos of bottle digging. Enter at your own risk. ..I should actually title as part 2 to my previous thread. Back in the hole again today with intent to finish it. The consistency of the "soil" is getting to be a massive headache.?its a little thicker than peanut butter and as i said in my previous post there is broken and whole brick throughout. I'm not gonna bore you by posting for every photo. Whole bottles i brought home are: 2 champagnes, 5 aqua slicks, 2 amber slicks, and one deep green slick. 1 Dr. Von Hopfs Curacoa Bitters Chamberlain & Co. Des Moines, Iowa. 1 aqua Mclean's Strengthening Cordial & Blood Purifier and last 1 F Hoyt and Co Perfumer. ....find several more brokes including a larger Mcleans and another gothic pepper sauce.

I've been known to be guilty of that UncleMac. Here are a few more shits of my finds and sorry to say the bottles are not cleaned as promised. The dark green bottle has no seams. Is this a turn mold bottle? 3 of the aqua's are ABC company, 1 is L. G. Co., and the other S B & G Co.

So far these are the only 2 surviving embossed bottles from my new hole. I've seen 6 broken bitters bottles. I suppose the beers survived simply because they are round and objects seem to bounce off of them easier. Something i'm beginning to believe is that maybe the gentleman of the house was trying to hide some of the booze bottles by dropping bricks on them down in the hole. So far i've uncovered 4-5 whole bricks mixed in with the beer bottles. Merely speculation of course

Awesome finds...love the live pics too.

Good speculation also....wife doesn't like me drinking the oilcan Fosters but I do....then I crush the can and stick it in the bottom of the recycle bin. :dontknow:
