I found this recently and am not having much luck finding any information on it. It is a Bat Wing Buckle from the 1700's. I would like to know how rare these are and also would be interested in a ball park figure of its value.

Thanks!

The Batwings are rare. In areas of early settlement they can be found occasionally. Depending on the size and condition they will usually sell for $25 - $70. Check on e-bay. Dalpal

Thanks for the info DALPAL. I found one of these on EBay and it sold for $66. Mine measures 3 1/2" wide and 2 3/4" high. I also found a 2 ball handheld bullet mold near it. They are a nice addition to my display case and would never dream of selling either of them.

Lost at Sea, I found these Items in Upstate NY (Geneva) while I was there on vacation in July. These are the only relics I found while there and won't get back that way until next year.
