Think about this. The longer a battery lasts, the heavier it is in weight. Option # 1, If you can get a rechargeable battery that would last 8 hours, this would be the ideal battery. If it lasts longer, you are carrying around excess weight. If it won't last 8 hours, there is the chance of running out of power. The other option, # 2, might be even better. A battery that would last 4 hours would weight half as much and could be swapped out at lunch time. This would require two batteries. And of course, Li batteries are lighter than Zinc carbon.
