Beach China (not "China Beach")

If you've ever found broken pieces of china on the beach and just walked on by, maybe next time you will want to pick it up. I was in a museum last week, and in the giftroom they were selling jewelry made from the stuff. Some of this stuff is over 600 years old! Evidently, china had to be perfect without any blemishes or nicks, scratches, cracks, etc. for it to be of any value. If not, it was thrown in the hull among the ballast of it's carrying ship and smashed to be used as ballast, and upon arriving at destination it was all dumped overboard to make room for cargo.
