:icon_sunny: Yesterday my wife, dogs and I went to CaesarCreek State Park and metal detected the beach area,( I have a permit ), and found some change but nothing great, two nails, pop tabs, and of all things a sewing needle. ??? Stopped on the way back to a small creek and looked around and found some neat rocks for the grand kids and these which I think are geodes, not very pretty but first ones I have found in the wild. Now the dogs and I are dealing with the ticks. Thanks for looking.

Don't think those are geodes...or Thunder Eggs, as some are called...(also called mud balls)...could wrong though...just look like flat rocks

Geodes are balls spit out of valcanos

Generally, a geode is ball shaped, and when cut or broken open, you will find crystal formations from plain to awsome...

Here are some pics...
