Yep, that's it Tarpon. You know I was always taught that you don't get something for nothing. I guess in a round about way, the dredging thing does blow up some interesting items on the beach from out in the deeper water. But, I always wondered if there was a payback coming for all of that free Govt. beach renourishment money.. And ... I heard on the news today that the Governor in this state is pushing hard for fracking around here. He says that it's on his highest adjenda. I wonder if that has anything to do with big political money paybacks for all of the Govt. handout dredge projects over the past few years? ..I dunno.... maybe I'm gettin' paranoid in my old age. ;-)

Isn't better to have white beach sand pumped in from off shore than have them use inland sand like they did in 2003? That crap was like the bottom of some Florida lakes.

Its garbage and a death trap for sea turtle nests.
Then when it is washed off the beach it's a death sentence for natural worm reef and many other nearshore filter feeders that naturally clean our water
