I never seen the date until I got back to the car.Nice looking Quarter Brad. If you saw the 1901 first, i'll bet you were shaking as you turned it over, looking for that magical S mint mark. That would have made it one valuable quarter in that condition.
I had googled---"hot lip's Barber Quarter"treblehunter,Please look up Morgan silver dollar of 1888-o in your Red book,a doubled die variety so called hot lips one. I hope the answers my crazy comment. Yours, from thrifty
ThanksBoy, Brad--that quarter is smokin! Congrats on all of these great finds! -Lisa & John
I zap her with the Hillbilly Zapper, thanksWell done Brad. That quarter is really nice, so sharp... and shiny!
Best of luck to you.
ThanksBrad The 1888-o Morgan silver dollar had a doubled die variety called the "hot lip" one I saw in my U.S. coin book page 229 2016 issue
Thank youGreat looking Barber and IH. Congrats on the finds
Thanks budBeauty barber quarter buddy. I only have one but it's nice luckily. Feels so good to get that great signal out in the middle of a big area. Especially when that comes out
Thanks, best of all it was easier walking in that bean field, haaaaaaaaOf all the coins I've pulled, when I first uncover one of those quarters and the back is in that slightly darkened, toned shape. You know, that some of them get? It always gives me such a thrill to see that eagle looking up at me!
NICE!
Thank youGreat digs, and congrats on the Barber!
