Beautiful 1923 Dug Merc

Last week I posted a 1920 Merc, which at the time was the best condition Dug "Silver" Coin i have every found...

Then I found this amazing shaped coin. I could tell when it was in dirt clump, that it hd some great detail.

Im guessing it would be EF At least!!..It looks like it was struck so good!!!

What do you guys think?

What did you use to clean up the coin? Soap & water only? Looks great for a dug coin.

Not even soap. I just rinsed it off in the sink. Ive screwed bunch of my coins up by using soap when there was still dirt on there.
But this one was obvious in the clump that it was in good shape

Dug Silver Don't get much better IMO..
I'm no expert , but it look's to have Full bands.
It,s like it was dropped fresh from the Roll .

Thanks man. Im thinking I should get a hard case holder for it. I dont want to just mix it in my 2x2 paper flips finds

DND-great find ! I absolutely love the old Mercs they are some of my favorite looking coins. Like I have said before, newer clad can't hold a candle to the detail, quality and workmanship of the older stuff. Like Davers says..looks like it was dropped from a new roll, I agree, it is in excellent condition. Great score ! thanks for sharing, enjoyed it..ddf

haha, I know...Its hard not to keep picking it up and looking at it.

I was taking pics of it last night...i have problems..lol
