That's really cool!!! If I may ask where do you find places to look and dig for old bottles? I usually just metal detect. However, my dad really loves antique bottles so I'd love some advice!!! Thanks

I actually just kinda got lucky. My Dad's house has been around since the late 19th century and he told me where the trash pit was. And then I got permission to hunt an old farmhouse and there was a filled in cellar on it along with an old trash pile. I've got a few bottles that could go back to the 1860's. Thanks for the comment.

Here's another one. I've got a before picture then a step 1 picture and finally the finished bottle.

very nice Joshr29, old bottles really show well in posts, and those are beauts.I have a couple of bottle sites I plan to dig at soon as
things thaw a bit.

That is the great thing about texas. Treasure hunting all year round! Thanks for the comments. Good luck to y'all.

I also like to dig for bottles. I don't do it as much as I once did but I do love 'em.

You've done an excellent job cleaning it up!

HH!

Thanks a lot. It took a lot of trial and error but I finally found a pretty good method. HH
