Hi all this contraption took me about 40 hrs to build and weld but I got her done. It works great in the sand but not so good in rooted ground (I did not build it for metal detecting but for fun for my kid ) it runs on 120 psi compressed air so i would need a portible air compresser with me but it works awsome in the sand. I thought I would post it here for I new all you guys and gals would appreciate it being metal detectorists and all. As for the beach it digs 1 and a half feet down.... My wife is letting me go detecting tomorrow all day so I am giving the spectra v3 a good run and I am sure I will have a post tomorrow for you all. I hope you all enjoy the pics and HH.....sniper

Very cool sniper. You've got a real lucky kid. Let us know how the spectra fares.

Great digging tool! ;D

You should install a belt driven air compressor and an air tank to use it with.

That is an awesome machine for a kid. If you have a backyard, you may come home one night and see your child has built an in-ground pool for you. :D

Reminds me of Tim Allen and his "Tool Time". I'll bet the two of you had a great time building it.

That's awesome!!! Did you design and build it yourself?
yes I built it myself I am a small engine mechanic and the place I work for sell backhoes so I kept running out to the yard to look at the real ones for reference.... a lot of trial and error.....sniper

Awesome! Now metaldetecting at the next level,,, two person operation, one to spot, the other to dig. I'm in.. let me dig first... LOL Nice work on the machine. HH :notworthy:

WOW - Very cool!!!!! :notworthy:

You would be THE MAN in my grandson's eyes. He has one of the manual diggers that you sit on and work the two levers to dig. Drags it all over the yard. You never know where the next hole is going to appear.
