best beach/ underwater metal detector?

I know it's asked often, but which detector is best for beach and underwater use. Not looking for particular stuff, just plinking around old wharf areas, etc. Do any u/w detectors have the ability to determine different types of metals like topside ones?

You need a PI machine. There are several good ones available.
