Best Button ever and some other Cool Find's

Ty and I went out Sunday hoping to hookup with some CW find's at this one early 1850's site....No Go!!! The guy there said he had a brother up the road with a 1700's house that backed up to Antietam Creek not far from the battle......What a move that was!!!!! My third good hit and out popped this Very Sweet N.Y. coat button,my best "looking" button to date.I could have stopped there.Kept on and ended up with some Misc. dated find's......This guy doesn't know it yet but he has some new tenant's just about every weekend ;D Here are my find's:

N.Y Coat Button/Cheshire Mfg Co-Chesire
Smashed 3-ringer w/hole
Super Small Colonial Buckle??
Suspender Clip part
Old tag
1913 Buffalo
1909 Wheatie

The other CW item's came from Sharpsburg the weekend before:

My 12th Wash Arsenal
Percussion Cap
3-ringer and a chewed
Iron Belt Hook maybe???

Had a great time....and many more to come.....Thank's for looking!!!!

Great looking button and some great news!. Tice lists this button as NY220 {Albert's NY 30} V1. The description says the following:

The Cheshire Manufacturing Company produced this rare varient, 23mm.
"*CHESHIRE MFG. CO. */ CHESHIRE." dm [depressed mark] is between two concentric rings of dots.

That is listed as a rare button!!!!!!!!!! :headbang:
Thank's Neil......Just how rare would you say this puppy is???/Any link's to set me up with??

The only help I can give is that one sold on eBay back in May. The item is expired too long to see any detail. The seller was http://myworld.ebay.com.my/attic_toys79 and the seller was http://myworld.ebay.com/buttons3 . You may want to try to contact them regarding item #220410225190 and ask what it sold for. That won't necessarily give you the value, as they might have both been unaware of the rarity of the item.

Someone on the forum such as Buckleboy or PBK may have more advice or info.

Good luck!

Man oh man oh man! Sweet stuff! Great button AND a Washington arsenal bullet. That would make my month.

Shoot me a PM next time you're getting a group together. I'm not far from you. I will do the same.
